ATTORNEY PROFILE
Joseph A. Rutigliano
Joseph has extensive experience with complex civil litigation, property tax, real estate, governmental and school law. He has represented individuals, municipalities, counties, authorities, and school boards in a range of litigation and compliance matters. He is regularly involved in civil defense litigation and represents clients in matters involving the New Jersey Tort Claims Act (Title 59), Tax Appeal matters, real estate closings and litigation and municipal and governmental planning matters. He also handles personal injury, traffic, municipal court and criminal matters, debt defense and consumer bankruptcy matters.
Joseph serves as Assistant Counsel to the Township of Weehawken where he defends state and county-level property tax appeals filed against Weehawken Township, drafts Township responses to Open Public Records Act (OPRA) requests, is involved in matters relating to New Jersey's Pay to Play laws and in involved with litigation affecting the Township.
